Merrill Bonarrigo, co-owner with her husband Paul, of Messina Hof Winery, has turned the winery into a definite Texas destination.  The resort is a great weekend-getaway, the Vintage House Restaurant provides great food, and of course, there is plenty of great wine to be found.  The Cooking Party with Chef cooking classes are great fun and very informative, offering a huge selection of tips, tricks, recipes, information about using spices and herbs, temperatures, tools, cuts of meat and of course, food and wine pairing.  Wine Appreciation Classes are also offered, focusing on different varietals in each class, or subjects such as wines that are appropriate for the holidays.  See website for class schedules and registration information.
