Kerr County Now Has a Wine Bar – and a Fine One at That!  Patrick Wilt, owner of one of my favorite wine shops, Grape Juice Wine Shop, in Ingram, has converted the upstairs of his great vintage shop into a cozy little wine bar – the first in Kerr County. It’s called Grape Juice by the Glass.  Ingram is just west of Kerrville on Junction Highway.

Say Cheese! Any cheese your heart desires.  Robyn Just, Proprietress of Fredericksburg’s brand new cheese and gourmet goodies shop, Fromage du Monde, will probably have just what you’re looking for.  Not only does Robyn have a fabulous, and constantly growing, array of cheeses from around the globe, but she has an immense knowledge of cheese.  Describe the taste and texture you’re craving and this lady will hook you up with the perfect cheese. 

Texas has many small towns that offer so much, we just treat the whole town as a Great Find! Comfort, Texas was established in 1854 and is reputed to have the most authentically original business district in Texas. I know for sure that Comfort offers some of the best antique shopping in the whole Texas Hill Country. Great shops, great stuff.

The Marble Falls-Kingsland area of the Texas Hill Country is one of my favorite destinations for a long weekend get-away.  Great antique shops dot the area, over a dozen wineries are located in the surrounding Hill Country and the Highland Lakes themselves beckon as a cool respite from the often hectic pace of everyday life.
